1:1AndSolomonthesonofDavidwasstrengthenedinhiskingdom，andtheLORDhisGodwaswithhim，andmagnifiedhimexceedingly.

1:2ThenSolomonspakeuntoallIsrael，tothecaptainsofthousandsandofhundreds，andtothejudges，andtoeverygovernorinallIsrael，thechiefofthefathers.

1:3SoSolomon，andallthecongregationwithhim，wenttothehighplacethatwasatGibeon;fortherewasthetabernacleofthecongregationofGod，whichMosestheservantoftheLORDhadmadeinthewilderness.

1:4ButthearkofGodhadDavidbroughtupfromKirjathjearimtotheplacewhichDavidhadpreparedforit:forhehadpitchedatentforitatJerusale

1:5Moreoverthebrasenaltar，thatBezaleelthesonofUri，thesonofHur，hadmade，heputbeforethetabernacleoftheLORD:andSolomonandthecongregationsoughtuntoit.

1:6AndSolomonwentupthithertothebrasenaltarbeforetheLORD，whichwasatthetabernacleofthecongregation，andofferedathousandburntofferingsuponit.

1:7InthatnightdidGodappearuntoSolomon，andsaiduntohim，AskwhatIshallgivethee.

1:8AndSolomonsaiduntoGod，ThouhastshewedgreatmercyuntoDavidmyfather，andhastmademetoreigninhisstead.

1:9Now，OLORDGod，letthypromiseuntoDavidmyfatherbeestablished:forthouhastmademekingoverapeoplelikethedustoftheearthinmultitude.

1:10Givemenowwisdomandknowledge，thatImaygooutandeinbeforethispeople:forwhocanjudgethisthypeople，thatissogreat?

1:11AndGodsaidtoSolomon，Becausethiswasinthineheart，andthouhastnotaskedriches，wealth，orhonour，northelifeofthineenemies，neitheryethastaskedlonglife;buthastaskedwisdomandknowledgeforthyself，thatthoumayestjudgemypeople，overwhomIhavemadetheeking:

1:12Wisdomandknowledgeisgranteduntothee;andIwillgivetheeriches，andwealth，andhonour，suchasnoneofthekingshavehadthathavebeenbeforethee，neithershallthereanyaftertheehavethelike.

1:13ThenSolomoncamefromhisjourneytothehighplacethatwasatGibeontoJerusalem，frombeforethetabernacleofthecongregation，andreignedoverIsrael.

1:14AndSolomongatheredchariotsandhorsemen:andhehadathousandandfourhundredchariots，andtwelvethousandhorsemen，whichheplacedinthechariotcities，andwiththekingatJerusale

1:15AndthekingmadesilverandgoldatJerusalemasplenteousasstones，andcedartreesmadeheasthesyoretreesthatareinthevaleforabundance.

1:16AndSolomonhadhorsesbroughtoutofEgypt，andlinenyarn:thekingsmerchantsreceivedthelinenyarnataprice.

1:17Andtheyfetchedup，andbroughtforthoutofEgyptachariotforsixhundredshekelsofsilver，andanhorseforanhundredandfifty:andsobroughttheyouthorsesforallthekingsoftheHittites，andforthekingsofSyria，bytheirmeans.

2:1AndSolomondeterminedtobuildanhouseforthenameoftheLORD，andanhouseforhiskingdo

2:2AndSolomontoldoutthreescoreandtenthousandmentobearburdens，andfourscorethousandtohewinthemountain，andthreethousandandsixhundredtooverseethe

2:3AndSolomonsenttoHuramthekingofTyre，saying，AsthoudidstdealwithDavidmyfather，anddidstsendhimcedarstobuildhimanhousetodwelltherein，evensodealwithme.

2:4Behold，IbuildanhousetothenameoftheLORDmyGod，todedicateittohim，andtoburnbeforehimsweetincense，andforthecontinualshewbread，andfortheburntofferingsmorningandevening，onthesabbaths，andonthenewmoons，andonthesolemnfeastsoftheLORDourGod.ThisisanordinanceforevertoIsrael.

2:5AndthehousewhichIbuildisgreat:forgreatisourGodaboveallgods.

2:6Butwhoisabletobuildhimanhouse，seeingtheheavenandheavenofheavenscannotcontainhim?whoamIthen，thatIshouldbuildhimanhouse，saveonlytoburnsacrificebeforehim?

2:10And，behold，Iwillgivetothyservants，thehewersthatcuttimber，twentythousandmeasuresofbeatenwheat，andtwentythousandmeasuresofbarley，andtwentythousandbathsofwine，andtwentythousandbathsofoil.

2:11ThenHuramthekingofTyreansweredinwriting，whichhesenttoSolomon，BecausetheLORDhathlovedhispeople，hehathmadetheekingoverthe

2:12Huramsaidmoreover，BlessedbetheLORDGodofIsrael，thatmadeheavenandearth，whohathgiventoDavidthekingawiseson，enduedwithprudenceandunderstanding，thatmightbuildanhousefortheLORD，andanhouseforhiskingdo

2:13AndnowIhavesentacunningman，enduedwithunderstanding，ofHurammyfathers，

2:14ThesonofawomanofthedaughtersofDan，andhisfatherwasamanofTyre，skilfultoworkingold，andinsilver，inbrass，iniron，instone，andintimber，inpurple，inblue，andinfinelinen，andincrimson;alsotograveanymannerofgraving，andtofindouteverydevicewhichshallbeputtohim，withthycunningmen，andwiththecunningmenofmylordDavidthyfather.

2:15Nowthereforethewheat，andthebarley，theoil，andthewine，whichmylordhathspokenof，lethimsenduntohisservants:

2:16AndwewillcutwoodoutofLebanon，asmuchasthoushaltneed:andwewillbringittotheeinfloatsbyseatoJoppa;andthoushaltcarryituptoJerusale

2:17AndSolomonnumberedallthestrangersthatwereinthelandofIsrael，afterthenumberingwherewithDavidhisfatherhadnumberedthem;andtheywerefoundanhundredandfiftythousandandthreethousandandsixhundred.

2:18Andhesetthreescoreandtenthousandofthemtobebearersofburdens，andfourscorethousandtobehewersinthemountain，andthreethousandandsixhundredoverseerstosetthepeopleawork.

3:1ThenSolomonbegantobuildthehouseoftheLORDatJerusaleminmountMoriah，wheretheLordappeareduntoDavidhisfather，intheplacethatDavidhadpreparedinthethreshingfloorofOrnantheJebusite.

3:2Andhebegantobuildintheseconddayofthesecondmonth，inthefourthyearofhisreign.
