3:5Forthiscause，whenIcouldnolongerforbear，Isenttoknowyourfaith，lestbysomemeansthetempterhavetemptedyou，andourlabourbeinvain.

3:6ButnowwhenTimotheuscamefromyouuntous，andbroughtusgoodtidingsofyourfaithandcharity，andthatyehavegoodremembranceofusalways，desiringgreatlytoseeus，aswealsotoseeyou:

3:7Therefore，brethren，wewerefortedoveryouinallourafflictionanddistressbyyourfaith:

3:8Fornowwelive，ifyestandfastintheLord.

3:9ForwhatthankscanwerendertoGodagainforyou，forallthejoywherewithwejoyforyoursakesbeforeourGod;

3:10Nightanddayprayingexceedinglythatwemightseeyourface，andmightperfectthatwhichislackinginyourfaith?

3:11NowGodhimselfandourFather，andourLordJesusChrist，directourwayuntoyou.

3:12AndtheLordmakeyoutoincreaseandaboundinloveonetowardanother，andtowardallmen，evenaswedotowardyou:

3:13TotheendhemaystablishyourheartsunblameableinholinessbeforeGod，evenourFather，attheingofourLordJesusChristwithallhissaints.

4:1Furthermorethenwebeseechyou，brethren，andexhortyoubytheLordJesus，thatasyehavereceivedofushowyeoughttowalkandtopleaseGod，soyewouldaboundmoreandmore.

4:2ForyeknowwhatmandmentswegaveyoubytheLordJesus.

4:3ForthisisthewillofGod，evenyoursanctification，thatyeshouldabstainfromfornication:

4:4Thateveryoneofyoushouldknowhowtopossesshisvesselinsanctificationandhonour;

4:5Notinthelustofconcupiscence，evenastheGentileswhichknownotGod:

4:6Thatnomangobeyondanddefraudhisbrotherinanymatter:becausethattheLordistheavengerofallsuch，aswealsohaveforewarnedyouandtestified.

4:7ForGodhathnotcalledusuntouncleanness，butuntoholiness.

4:8Hethereforethatdespiseth，despisethnotman，butGod，whohathalsogivenuntoushisholySpirit.

4:9ButastouchingbrotherlyloveyeneednotthatIwriteuntoyou:foryeyourselvesaretaughtofGodtoloveoneanother.

4:10AndindeedyedoittowardallthebrethrenwhichareinallMacedonia:butwebeseechyou，brethren，thatyeincreasemoreandmore;

4:11Andthatyestudytobequiet，andtodoyourownbusiness，andtoworkwithyourownhands，aswemandedyou;

4:12Thatyemaywalkhonestlytowardthemthatarewithout，andthatyemayhavelackofnothing.

4:13ButIwouldnothaveyoutobeignorant，brethren，concerningthemwhichareasleep，thatyesorrownot，evenasotherswhichhavenohope.

4:14ForifwebelievethatJesusdiedandroseagain，evensothemalsowhichsleepinJesuswillGodbringwithhi

4:15ForthiswesayuntoyoubythewordoftheLord，thatwewhicharealiveandremainuntotheingoftheLordshallnotpreventthemwhichareasleep.

4:16FortheLordhimselfshalldescendfromheavenwithashout，withthevoiceofthearchangel，andwiththetrumpofGod:andthedeadinChristshallrisefirst:

4:17Thenwewhicharealiveandremainshallbecaughtuptogetherwiththemintheclouds，tomeettheLordintheair:andsoshallweeverbewiththeLord.
