2:14Ofthesethingsputtheminremembrance，chargingthembeforetheLordthattheystrivenotaboutwordstonoprofit，buttothesubvertingofthehearers.

2:15StudytoshewthyselfapproveduntoGod，aworkmanthatneedethnottobeashamed，rightlydividingthewordoftruth.

2:16Butshunprofaneandvainbabblings:fortheywillincreaseuntomoreungodliness.

2:17Andtheirwordwilleatasdothacanker:ofwhomisHymenaeusandPhiletus;

2:18Whoconcerningthetruthhaveerred，sayingthattheresurrectionispastalready;andoverthrowthefaithofsome.

2:19NeverthelessthefoundationofGodstandethsure，havingthisseal，TheLordknoweththemthatarehis.And，LeteveryonethatnameththenameofChristdepartfrominiquity.

2:20Butinagreathousetherearenotonlyvesselsofgoldandofsilver，butalsoofwoodandofearth;andsometohonour，andsometodishonour.

2:21Ifamanthereforepurgehimselffromthese，heshallbeavesseluntohonour，sanctified，andmeetforthemastersuse，andprepareduntoeverygoodwork.

2:22Fleealsoyouthfullusts:butfollowrighteousness，faith，charity，peace，withthemthatcallontheLordoutofapureheart.

2:23Butfoolishandunlearnedquestionsavoid，knowingthattheydogenderstrifes.

2:24AndtheservantoftheLordmustnotstrive;butbegentleuntoallmen，apttoteach，patient，

2:25Inmeeknessinstructingthosethatopposethemselves;ifGodperadventurewillgivethemrepentancetotheacknowledgingofthetruth;

2:26Andthattheymayrecoverthemselvesoutofthesnareofthedevil，whoaretakencaptivebyhimathiswill.

3:5Havingaformofgodliness，butdenyingthepowerthereof:fromsuchturnaway.

3:6Forofthissortaretheywhichcreepintohouses，andleadcaptivesillywomenladenwithsins，ledawaywithdiverslusts，

3:7Everlearning，andneverabletoetotheknowledgeofthetruth.

3:8NowasJannesandJambreswithstoodMoses，sodothesealsoresistthetruth:menofcorruptminds，reprobateconcerningthefaith.

3:9Buttheyshallproceednofurther:fortheirfollyshallbemanifestuntoallmen，astheirsalsowas.
