1:6Tounderstandaproverb，andtheinterpretation;thewordsofthewise，andtheirdarksayings.

1:7ThefearoftheLORDisthebeginningofknowledge:butfoolsdespisewisdomandinstruction.

1:8Myson，heartheinstructionofthyfather，andforsakenotthelawofthymother:

1:9Fortheyshallbeanornamentofgraceuntothyhead，andchainsaboutthyneck.

1:10Myson，ifsinnersenticethee，consentthounot.

1:11Iftheysay，Comewithus，letuslaywaitforblood，letuslurkprivilyfortheinnocentwithoutcause:

1:12Letusswallowthemupaliveasthegrave;andwhole，asthosethatgodownintothepit:

1:30Theywouldnoneofmycounsel:theydespisedallmyreproof.

1:31Thereforeshalltheyeatofthefruitoftheirownway，andbefilledwiththeirowndevices.

1:32Fortheturningawayofthesimpleshallslaythem，andtheprosperityoffoolsshalldestroythe

1:33Butwhosohearkenethuntomeshalldwellsafely，andshallbequietfromfearofevil.
