1:1TheburdenofthewordoftheLORDtoIsraelbyMalachi.

1:4WhereasEdomsaith，Weareimpoverished，butwewillreturnandbuildthedesolateplaces;thussaiththeLORDofhosts，Theyshallbuild，butIwillthrowdown;andtheyshallcallthem，Theborderofwickedness，and，ThepeopleagainstwhomtheLORDhathindignationforever.

1:5Andyoureyesshallsee，andyeshallsay，TheLORDwillbemagnifiedfromtheborderofIsrael.

1:6Asonhonourethhisfather，andaservanthismaster:ifthenIbeafather，whereisminehonour?andifIbeamaster，whereismyfear?saiththeLORDofhostsuntoyou，Opriests，thatdespisemyname.Andyesay，Whereinhavewedespisedthyname?

1:12Butyehaveprofanedit，inthatyesay，ThetableoftheLORDispolluted;andthefruitthereof，evenhismeat，iscontemptible.

1:13Yesaidalso，Behold，whatawearinessisit!andyehavesnuffedatit，saiththeLORDofhosts;andyebroughtthatwhichwastorn，andthelame，andthesick;thusyebroughtanoffering:shouldIacceptthisofyourhand?saiththeLORD.

1:14Butcursedbethedeceiver，whichhathinhisflockamale，andvoweth，andsacrificethuntotheLORDacorruptthing:forIamagreatKing，saiththeLORDofhosts，andmynameisdreadfulamongtheheathen.

2:1Andnow，Oyepriests，thismandmentisforyou.

2:2Ifyewillnothear，andifyewillnotlayittoheart，togivegloryuntomyname，saiththeLORDofhosts，Iwillevensendacurseuponyou，andIwillcurseyourblessings:yea，Ihavecursedthemalready，becauseyedonotlayittoheart.

2:3Behold，Iwillcorruptyourseed，andspreaddunguponyourfaces，eventhedungofyoursolemnfeasts;andoneshalltakeyouawaywithit.

2:4AndyeshallknowthatIhavesentthismandmentuntoyou，thatmycovenantmightbewithLevi，saiththeLORDofhosts.

2:9ThereforehaveIalsomadeyoucontemptibleandbasebeforeallthepeople，accordingasyehavenotkeptmyways，buthavebeenpartialinthelaw.

2:10Havewenotallonefather?hathnotoneGodcreatedus?whydowedealtreacherouslyeverymanagainsthisbrother，byprofaningthecovenantofourfathers?

2:11Judahhathdealttreacherously，andanabominationismittedinIsraelandinJerusalem;forJudahhathprofanedtheholinessoftheLORDwhichheloved，andhathmarriedthedaughterofastrangegod.

2:12TheLORDwillcutoffthemanthatdoeththis，themasterandthescholar，outofthetabernaclesofJacob，andhimthatofferethanofferinguntotheLORDofhosts.

2:13Andthishaveyedoneagain，coveringthealtaroftheLORDwithtears，withweeping，andwithcryingout，insomuchthatheregardethnottheofferinganymore，orreceivethitwithgoodwillatyourhand.

2:14Yetyesay，Wherefore?BecausetheLORDhathbeenwitnessbetweentheeandthewifeofthyyouth，againstwhomthouhastdealttreacherously:yetisshethypanion，andthewifeofthycovenant.
